ISTwatch© — OFAC Searching, PATRIOT ACT Compliance SoftwareAfter the ACT was signed into law, Intelligent Search Technology was contacted by our country’s leading airlines to provide a terrorist search solution so that passenger manifests could be checked against lists of all known terrorists. The solution needed to perform specialized search services designed to process published terrorist search list data.The system had to be extremely intelligent to overcome the infinitely numerous techniques used to disguise real identities and needed to process quickly. Through the utilization of our advanced, multicultural fuzzy search and matching technology, a solution was developed that overcomes significant variations such as missing words, out-of-sequence errors, nicknames, abbreviations, phonetic variations, multi-national sources, concatenations and truncations while reducing the incident of false matches. Thus, our ISTwatch product was developed.
ISTwatch is a software component suite that enables systems to quickly search and match individuals against OFAC’s Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list and other denied parties lists, such as FBI’s most wanted, Canada’s OSFI terrorist lists, Bank of England’s consolidated lists and Financial Action Task Force data on money laundering countries among other lists. Since OFAC posts new entities whenever a new individual or organization has been identified as a threat to the United States. Within 24 hours of posting, we make any and all updates available for inclusion into the ISTwatch software components.

Stand-alone Graphical User Interface: An easy‐to‐use GUI is used to
perform searches against global watch lists in batch or interactive mode.
API: A flexible API, for the easy integration of ISTwatch into enterprise systems, applications and databases. Helpful Software Development Kits (SDKs) and code examples for all major development platforms, to assist
with further integration.
Hosted Edition:
Online Version: Using a simple web‐based interface users can upload data and perform batch searching or manually enter names to search on a per‐record basis.
Web Service: Allows client‐side applications to invoke the server’s remote methods and receive processed data back in XML format.
Thin Client: Simple client interface utilizing web services provided by IST.
